This Week in Hotel Pop Culture

...Loved "High and Dizzy" from Harold Lloyd, made in 1920. My favorite bespectacled daredevil finds himself, thanks to some home brew, seven sheets to the wind and at a deluxe downtown hotel, where he must rescue a cutie-patootie sleepwalker from tumbling off a ledge without tumbling -- hiccup! -- off the ledge himself. Haven't we all been there?

...Pulled my collar closer and watched, through splayed fingers, a "Tales of the Crypt" from 1992. Plot? Guests are trapped at a fancy lodge-like hotel due to werewolvian activity just outside. Is the werewolf actually one of the guests? I think we both know the answer.

Two more questions: Does a lycanthrope need a wake-up call come nightfall? And are there knots of shaggy hair clogging the drain after he checks out? The maid must sigh and rue the full moon.
